King-Con Accessories started as a side hustle between two co-directors, Leon Marius Boshoff and Hugo Jacques Lambrechts.
What began as a two-man army with one machine, a hammer and a screwdriver quickly grew into a serious manufacturing operation after Leon and Hugo saw the demand for premium rubber protection products in South Africa.
The business started with interwoven bakkie mats, with the first product being made for a Toyota Hilux double cab. In the first month, only a few orders were completed, but the quality of the product created demand fast.
King-Con was never built around doing things cheaply. From the beginning, the goal was to manufacture a product that could protect the loading space of a vehicle for years, preserve the value of the asset, and outlast ordinary protection methods.
Today, King-Con Accessories has grown into a dedicated team manufacturing custom rubber protection products for customers across South Africa and neighbouring countries.
